We have a lot of fun together and have created some fun traditions as a couple. As we look to the future, we look forward to creating even more traditions with a child!

Every Friday night we make a pizza and watch a movie together on the couch to unwind from the week. Along with continuing this, we hope to start waffle Sunday's to create dependable family time.

Our favorite time of year is Halloween. It is our tradition to decorate the house in early September and watch spooky movies every weekend. We make a list of all the essential films, mainly Tim Burton movies, and cuddle on the couch with our dogs until all the movies are checked off the list. Baking a sweet treat to enjoy during the movies is a must! For the past few years we have talked about what family costumes we will do once we have a child and can't wait to dress up together.

We have two spoiled Jack Russell Terriers, Denny (4) and Whiskey (2). Denny loves to play in the backyard, chasing the frisbee, but loves running on the beach, meeting new friends even more. Whiskey is our little hunter. While half the size of her brother, Whiskey is fearless and won't allow any lizards in her backyard. While both dogs love to play outside, they also enjoy a lazy day, cuddling on the couch with us. They love playing with children and having someone to run around with. We cannot wait to watch the pups build a relationship with our child.

Along with the two dogs, we have two corn snakes and five tortoises. Each of our animals has their own distinctive personality. We are passionate about animals and teaching people how to respect wildlife.

Kassy's mom came to America from Cuba in the 1990s along with the rest of her family. While Kassy's dad is originally from Ohio, her mom and grandma made sure all holidays and family events were full of Cuban traditions as not to forget where they came from. Kassy's family shows their love through food and always makes sure anyone who comes to their house leaves well fed. Kassy's dad has his own tradition as his family lived in rural West Virginia. This blend between families provided a rich environment to learn cultural differences and appreciate what each culture has to offer.

Harper's immediate family all grew up in Central Florida. Aside from Harper's grandfather everyone was born and raised in Florida. While the entire family is white, growing up in Central Florida exposes you to various cultures and traditions. Harper has always participated in her best friend's Jewish traditions. As we both were exposed to different cultures growing up, we learned the value in seeing different ways of life.

Our small Central Florida town holds events throughout the year. We have a winter festival the first Saturday of December with food vendors, face paint, Santa, and a Grinch hunt where kids get to search the area and find where he is hiding. Around the same time, our neighboring city puts on a light display that has people driving in from all over the state to see. Every Sunday there is a local farmer's market where families can support local farmers and buy fresh produce.

We live in a three-bedroom house with a large backyard, on a dead-end street where kids are free to ride their bikes and play basketball. There are children of all ages from infant to adolescent playing together in the neighborhood.

The best part of our day is when we are in the backyard playing frisbee with our dogs, enjoying our peaceful neighborhood. If we are not outside, we can be found in our living room binge watching our favorite shows.

The best part about our city is that we are surrounded by a chain of lakes. We have a park five minutes from our house with a huge playground, a two-mile walking path, volleyball courts, a boat ramp and a restaurant overlooking the water where you can watch the sunset. Our dogs love going on walks around the lake, meeting new people, and chasing the birds. We are excited to have a baby join us for these walks and eventually play with the neighborhood children.

We both come from large families that enjoy regular gatherings. Harper's entire family lives very close to us so we are able to get together frequently. We love going to BBQs at her grandparent's house where the whole family gets together for boating and board games.

Although Kassy's family lives a few hours away, we still make monthly trips to visit. We like to joke around, play Dominoes, and spend time together just catching up on life. We enjoy family traditions from Cuba including roasting a pig on Christmas Eve and eating twelve grapes on New Year's Eve to signify the twelve months ahead of us.

This baby will be the first grandchild in either of our families, and they couldn't be more excited. We both have siblings that aren't quite ready to start a family of their own but have been begging us to start ours so they can babysit and enjoy the life of an aunt/uncle. Both of our families are supportive of our plan to adopt and are excited to welcome a new addition to our family.

We met at Florida State University where we were matched as random roommates. We fell in love over Wii Sports, late night diner trips and spontaneous adventures. Our friendship grew over eight months until we finally admitted our feelings for each other and have been together going on seven years. We got married two years ago and have been planning on starting our family since. We have continued to play games and go on adventures and cannot wait for a little one to join us.

When we're not at home, you can find us at the park near our home enjoying nature with our two dogs. We're passionate about animals and find comfort in taking care of our many pets. We hope to instill a love of nature and animals within our child.

We both come from large families, so there's always a party or holiday to gather together. One of the best parts about getting together is sharing a meal with our families. Both sides of the family have signature dishes while also being open to trying new cuisines. Our families are excited to welcome a new addition, and we will carry on our many traditions with our child.

We plan to be open with our child about their adoption. We feel it is important to create a safe environment where our child feels safe to ask us anything. No two families are the same and our child will grow up understanding there's no "right" way to be a family. As long as there's plenty of love, happiness and respect in the home, our family will be complete. Our child will always know your role in their story and how your unconditional love for them was the start of their journey.

We are ready to be parents to an amazing child. Our home is already filled with fun and love for one another, and a child would enhance our lives tremendously. Being able to teach a child and watch it grow is one of the greatest gifts in this world. We're so excited to open our home to new members of the family.
