Why We Chose Adoption

So Much Love to Give

Choosing adoption to build our family has been a deeply personal and meaningful journey for us. From the beginning of our relationship, we dreamed about sharing our lives with a child and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and meaningful traditions. When we realized that growing our family might not happen in the way we originally imagined, we took time to reflect on what mattered most to us. Through that process, adoption quickly became a path that felt right in our hearts.

For us, adoption reflects the values that guide our lives—commitment, love, and the importance of family. We are excited about the opportunity to share our lives with a child and to grow together through all the everyday moments and milestones that make a family special. We look forward to bedtime stories, celebrating holidays, cheering at school events, taking family vacations, and creating the kind of memories that build lifelong bonds.

This journey has brought us even closer as a couple and strengthened our vision for the future we hope to create. We feel ready to open our hearts and our home, and we are filled with hope and excitement for the day we can welcome a child into our lives. For us, adoption is more than a way to grow our family—it is the path that is leading us to the family we have always hoped for.

How We Met

We first met briefly in 2010, went our separate ways for work, and then—by chance—ran into each other years later while living in Minnesota. What started as friendship, golf outings, and shared time in the kitchen grew into a strong relationship built on communication and shared values. We married in 2018 and have loved every moment of the journey since. Today we live in the Midwest and enjoy an active, balanced life. You can often find us traveling, cheering on our sports teams, golfing, hosting friends and family, or spending quiet moments together—morning coffee on the deck, cooking a favorite meal, or taking walks around the neighborhood. Our home is filled with love, joy, humor, and happiness.

Rachelle About Brent

Brent is one of a kind. He is fun, caring, steady, and incredibly supportive. He never meets a stranger—people of all ages naturally gravitate toward him. He is driven, yet calm; passionate, yet patient. He mentors, listens, encourages, and brings out the best in everyone around him. Neighborhood kids adore him, and he is the best uncle—always ready to play, help, or join in their adventures. He is a natural with children, and I know he will be the most amazing father. I can already picture the moment he holds our child for the first time, and I know it will be life-changing.

Rachelle is the most caring and selfless person I’ve ever known. Whether she’s making holidays magical for our nephews, coordinating neighborhood get-togethers, or perfecting a homemade dessert for someone she loves, she puts her whole heart into everything she does. She is passionate, resilient, and endlessly thoughtful. Her career in sales and marketing has given her a gift for making everyone feel seen and valued. Watching her interact with our nephews—helping with homework, organizing adventures, offering comfort after a tough day—shows exactly the kind of mother she will be. Her love has no limits, and her support is unwavering.

Our Extended Families

Where There's Family There's Love

Family is truly at the heart of our lives and shapes the way we live, love, and support one another. We feel incredibly fortunate to have immediate family within an hour of us, as well as extended family who intentionally prioritize time together and staying closely connected. These relationships provide a strong foundation of love, consistency, and support that we value deeply.

Holiday Lights and a Perfect Christmas Night

Rachelle’s parents are incredibly involved grandparents—active, supportive, loving, and fully present in their grandchildren’s lives. Her nephews absolutely adore time with Nana and Papa, and it’s easy to see why. From school drop-offs and after-school time together to pool days, water-balloon fights, family dinners, and home-cooked meals, their days are filled with laughter, connection, and care. Everyone shows up for one another, offering help, encouragement, and joy, while making sure each moment together is meaningful.

Brent’s family, located a couple states away, remain close despite the distance. Regular visits, holidays, and summer vacations bring everyone together and are deeply cherished. These gatherings are filled with tradition, shared memories, and a strong sense of belonging that continues to strengthen family bonds across generations.

Both of us were raised in families that modeled strong marriages, stability, respect, and unconditional love. These examples have shaped our values and our relationship, and we look forward to continuing these traditions as we grow our own family and raise a child surrounded by the same sense of security and love.

Our House and Neighborhood

Space to Play, Learn, and Make Memories Together

We live in a quiet, safe suburban community in Kansas, surrounded by walking trails, parks, recreation centers, and community pools. Our neighborhood is small and close-knit, filled with families, friendly retirees, and children riding bikes and playing together in front yards. From the moment we moved in, we felt incredibly welcomed and truly feel like we hit the jackpot with the people who surround us.

When choosing our home, we were intentional about finding a place where our future family could grow and flourish. We selected a warm and inviting five-bedroom, three-bath home with plenty of space for children, guests, and the many memories we hope to create together. It’s a home that feels full of possibility—where laughter echoes through the rooms and everyone feels comfortable, safe, and loved.

Our home is a place where everyday moments will be cherished—pancake breakfasts at the kitchen island, family dinners filled with laughter, homework help at the table, and easy evenings spent together. We look forward to backyard playtime, movie nights on the couch, spontaneous dance breaks in the kitchen, and driveway gatherings that turn neighbors into lifelong friends.

The sense of community here is something that means so much to us. Our friends and neighbors are truly like family—supportive, welcoming, and always willing to lend a helping hand. They are excited to be part of our journey and eager to surround our future child with encouragement, laughter, and love. Together, this community offers a warm, nurturing environment where a child will feel deeply supported, valued, and cherished.

From Us to You

Thank you for taking a moment to learn about us. We know the decision you are facing is incredibly brave, deeply personal, and filled with love. Whatever path you choose, we hope you feel supported, respected, and confident in the choice that feels right for you and your child.

Becoming parents has always been our greatest dream. After walking through the heartbreak of pregnancy losses, we have come to this journey with clarity, faith, and open hearts. Adoption is not a second choice for us?"it is the path we believe we were meant to take. We approach this process with humility and gratitude, knowing that your strength and love make parenthood possible for us.

We are married and have been together for over a decade. We first met in 2010, reconnected years later by chance while living in Minnesota, and built our relationship on friendship, communication, and shared values. We were married in 2018, and every year together has only strengthened our bond. Our marriage is steady, joyful, and grounded in mutual respect, laughter, and teamwork. We truly enjoy life together and support one another in everything we do.

Our home in Kansas is filled with warmth, humor, and love. We live in a quiet, family-centered neighborhood where kids ride bikes, neighbors gather, and community matters. We imagine mornings filled with pancake breakfasts, helping with homework at the kitchen table, backyard playtime, and evenings full of laughter, stories, and connection. We are excited to provide a life filled with stability, encouragement, adventure, and unconditional love.

Family plays a central role in our lives. Our parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family are deeply involved and incredibly supportive. Our future child will grow up surrounded by grandparents who are present and loving, cousins, friends who feel like family, and a strong village ready to cheer them on every step of the way.

We believe deeply in openness and honest communication. We want your child to grow up knowing their story and understanding how much love surrounded their beginning.

We are committed to sending letters and pictures regularly so you can see how the child is growing and thriving. We are also committed to meeting in person and would approach that time with care, kindness, and respect for everyone involved. If, over time, everyone feels comfortable, we would also be open to more. At the same time, we want you to know there is no pressure?"any contact would always be guided by what feels healthiest and most comfortable for you, for us, and most importantly, for the child.

As parents, we promise to be present, loving, and supportive. We will celebrate successes, offer comfort through challenges, and encourage curiosity, kindness, and confidence. Most of all, we will ensure the child always knows they are deeply loved?"not only by us, but by you as well.

Thank you for considering us and for taking the time to learn our hearts. We honor the strength behind your decision and the love you have for your child. No matter what you decide, we wish you peace and clarity. If chosen, we would be forever grateful for the opportunity to love and raise the child with everything we have.

With sincere gratitude,

Brent & Rachelle
